My friend Carlton Bright, a videographer with a sideline in stereoptical photography, has combined both interests with his recent experiments in 3D video. He's just posted a clip shot in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, on the night of the presidential election.
To get the stereo effect, you have to transpose the 2 images on top of each other. Here's advice on how to do this without any special gear. And here's the clip:
